So him interrupting Bush's Campaign Spokesman to throw out insults at Bush's policies is treating that guest with respect or not belittleing them? Too much lately, he's giving people who bash Bush room and even helps. Those who try to explain a viewpoint that supports Bush get interrupted with barbs to demean their viewpoint. I think Stewart's funny, but I hate the fact that the show's seemed to taken a bitter political turn.
I was rather annoyed that he had Dick Clarke on last week and just as Clarke was ready to make a point, Stewart would constantly and repeatedly inturrupt him in order to make a wisecrack and then immediately ask a question completely unrelated to the point Clarke was just about to make before he was cut off.
I don't think he was trying to silence him or anything. I just think that in his pursuit of entertainment and a laugh, sometimes he's just a poor interviewer.
