Comic Rodney Dangerfield Dies in L.A. at Age 82
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Rodney Dangerfield (news), the goggle-eyed comic famed for his self-deprecating one-liners and signature phrase "I can't get no respect," died on Tuesday at age 82, his publicist said.
Dangerfield, who became a pop culture sensation with a string of broad film comedies starting with "Caddyshack" in 1980, died at 1:20 p.m. PDT (4:20 p.m. EDT) at the UCLA Medical Center, where he had undergone heart valve replacement surgery in August, spokesman Kevin Sasaki said in a statement.

This is sad. He made Caddyshack enjoyable for me. And Easy Money was as hilarious, if not more so, than Back To School, which is a classic. Poor Rodney...

They say these things happen in 3s but it seems like normally it's not like this. First Janet Leigh on Sunday, then Gordon Cooper yesterday now this.
Believe it or not, I have never seen Caddyshack from start to finish, I've seen bits and pieces of it though.

Don't forget about Meet Wally Sparks and Ladybugs! He was one of those actors that pretty much played the same role in every movie he appeared in. You gotta respect a man who made it to 82. He overcame so much; his wife was a two-bagger (meaning, he had to wear a bag over his head in case the bag over her head broke), in high school he shared a locker with a mop, his son majored in screwing up, and the family couldn't afford tinsel so they had to wait for Grandpa to sneeze. Not to mention the parrot that said "Quick! Out the window!" every time he came home.. Or when he asked a cab driver where he could get some action, and the driver took him to his own house. Just kidding! Those were from some of his famous routines. He also said that willpower is when someone stays on Weight Watcher's even for their last meal before an execution. He will be missed.
