Dancer was a fairly ordinary cop, albeit a talented and dedicated one. Transferred to The Special Branch for outstanding work in the line of duty he continued in his dedication, eventually rooting out several members of the force with links to a far-right militarist group. In revenge for this, the group shot both his parents, an act that caused Dancer to lose faith in the Plice Force and quit. Recently he has re-established partial links with the force, albeit ones that may not be long-lasting.
At first glance, Dancer does not have any power, being just an ordinary human being. However he is linked to a voodoo spirit known as Dr. Jimmy, a servant of Baren Samedi, lord of Death. Dr. Jimmy cannot be permanently killed, and should he suffer a normally mortal wound, such as being beheaded orhaving his heart ripped out, he will revert back to Dancer and not be able to manifest for several days afterwards. He is also with a skull-tipped cane that can break through almost all materials built pre-20th century, with the exception of iron.
