No...it usually scares us (if we are not expecting it) thus it disrupts the mojo it took you forever to get going and now (thanks to you Marquis de Sade) will take forever to get going again. If she is in the zone, do not smack unless you are in love with your hand.
However if she is down with it, a little smacking may get the party started faster then you can say Pink!
