I don't know where you heard THAT. But 12-14 is the average. Now I'm sure they're are girls out there that take a long time (and God knows I've met some of them!) but that's definitely the number I remember from various articles and anatomy classes.
I'm sure you have a very good anatomy class textbook, but everybody is really different when it comes to having an orgasm.......it truly is all mental.......its all about being comfortable and letting yourself have one.........I think it takes longer statistically for women because they have a more "intrusive" role in sex.......
its important to not only feel comfortable with the other person but with yourself and your own body as well.
