Hard Hitting Team:

  • Danny(Team Leader/Group Leader)- This character was the two things that all great characters in literature are: fun and loveable. By far my most favorite of characters. A guy who will step up to responsibility even though he'd prefer to just be sitting back with his friends. A great variety of tricks for him to pull with his power, and an approachable personality to do it with. Plus, he's an anchor for the rest of this team.

  • Grimm- Literally Death incarnate. I just envision great battles with stone walls being smashed through and bodies flying as his size sixteens come stompin' down the warpath.

  • Turkish Stringfellow- The Yin to Grimm's Yang ( Yang ). The precise and choreographed movements that seem more like a ballet to Grimm's Mosh Pit style of fighting. A scapel where Grimm is a sledgehammer. He's fun to write when you think about his powers (I never understood why no one got them or realized that they weren't as powerful as everyone believed). Would have liked more time to play around with this character.

  • Mxy- Because sometimes there are problems that you just need cows to fix.

My second all time favorite character. There is even a greater distance between him and my third favorite.

  • Ozzy Baxter- Have him roll into a fetal position while Grimm and Turkish roll him through walls. Fun personality and a power that makes him the perfect target for any abuse we can think up.

  • Blackwulf- Just don't sit next to the guy.

  • Dirk Bell- Nothing is safe.

  • Lykopis- Time for an ass kicking of mythological proportions.

  • Raptor- I like the tortured Ed as well, which is why he can't get a leadership position. But he can kick some ass.

All Purpose Team:

  • Drake Marshall(Group Leader)- Post-Drax, he has become a favorite and well developed character. Instinctive, quick-witted, and grounded. His Captain America like abilities gives him the edge over an aggressive foe while his warm persona gives him the edge over everyone else.

  • Banshee- A kitten with a tigress ready to burst loose at a moment's notice.

  • Icarus Sidewinder- Jango Fett with style and concious.

  • Mason Templar- He and Icarus can room together.

  • Nobody- Doing whatever the hell it is he can do this week.

  • Sam Dawson- I miss this fella. He had a personality, emotion, approachability, and a sense of purpose, even if that purpose was to throw a phat-ass party while half the team was away. Basically, everything I felt Priest lacked.

  • Phil Smith- I liked the babe in the woods Phil that we first met. I felt his transformation was a bit forced and in the wrong direction. Slap the guns out of his hands and make him use his TK abilities while keeping him uneasy and on the edge about how it'll all come out.

The Brain Trust: (More of a finding and analyzing of information than combat, though that may easily occur)

  • Kristopher Schanz(Team Leader)- A top scientist with Doc Savage running through his veins.

  • Grissom Montage- Expert in security systems and by-passing them. He also knows the most common places people hide their valuables and dirty little secrets. His James Bond suave gets him the info he needs as well as next to where he needs to go. His Indiana Jones style gets him in and out with what he wants.

  • Adem Different- He'll give you plenty of possible answers to the most confusing puzzles. Plus, he'll be determined to find out which, if any, are the correct ones.

  • Edmund Gaunt- He knowns a thing or two about a thing or three.

  • Dr. Huerta- Is the guy lying or just nervous? Where would a meta with an anteater's nose and gorilla toes hide from you? Well, for Jeebus's sake, get the damn shrink in here to tell you. Lazy bastard.

  • Tayden- Dude, just chill and enjoy the vibes.

I didn't know that until just now. I'm quite genuinely flattered.

Bob-I admit, when he first appeared, I was a little skeptical. But he showed great leadership skills during the Island of Transexual Gorillas story. Bob for President/Prime Minister!

Roscoe and Earl-These two zany garbage collecting brothers have made me laugh out loud so much I have to change my underwear. The team simply would not be the same without them.

Gordon-Proof that you can be a pimp and still be a good person. Gordon's love affair with Sammi Davis, the illegitimate daughter of the famous entertainer, and his subsequent emotional torment when she died during the Escape from the Vampire Cosmonauts from Mars story was heartwrenching.

Oleg-From hateful villain to rock and roll superstar! Oleg's remorse over killing Sammi and his joining of the team and his following status of rock god has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Grace-My beautiful and talented assistant. Bastardo Productions could not survive without her.

Jay Leno's Chin-Respect the power of the chin. Saved the team and the world more times than I can remember.

and of course, me. Louie Bastardo.

Raptor- The first, and one of the best. My personal favourite character, written by Eurostar, who I think is one of the best of a team of very good writers here.

Grissom Montag- He has the best fight scenes in the world, and feels so real. I'd love to have thought him up.

Tobias Christopher- I like Super Speedsters, and Tobias looked really good.

Adem Different- Adem ROCKS. The Funniest character in VE, and very different from your traditional alien as depicted in superhero adventures. Wish I could write him.

Mason Templar- A Big Belligerent guy with a big sword. 'Nuff Said, really.

Lady Lykopis- CJ's a great writer, and Lykopis is her best yet. A vicious, stiff amazon with a distinct style and character.

Phil Smith- I know Sammitch gets a load of crap over his style, but you can't knock the idea. Plus, Phil does at least seem well written in Sammitch's post (not that he isn't in anyone else's).

Grimm-At first, I didn't like Grimm. He seemed to me to be a bit of a Batman-style character, though his powers were different. But he grew on me, and I really like him.

Danny- I like Australians. How come the two Aussies on the boards are among the best writers in their teams?

Robo Squirrel-Cool idea, well executed, with a fascinating backgound. I am convinced that, in a DC-Vanguard Crossover, Robo-Squirrel would pound WW and Superman into a pulp and take on Batman and Captain Marvel for afters.

Icarus Sidewinder- Chewy's best ever character. It's fun to see Icarus walk through the world in a vain, self-obsessed, exasperating cloud. How annoying is he?

Ian McGregor-'Kay, so he's not technically a member, but who cares?

I'm not yet dead, therefore "one day" is still plausible.

I'll tell you this: Booster Gold will be on this list.

You have not seen my list yet, therefore you cannot claim whether or not Booster will be on it.

necropooooooooost!!!

sorry, on lunch break and was browsing through my list of chrome bookmarks from two computers ago. we created some fantastic characters. my only regret is spending so much of my time and energy on mine and missing out on so many others. just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for telling such great stories for so many years.
