I'm concentrating on our story and the solo stuff I'm working on.

Cool. Well, I'm working on a lot of Tommy stuff for his background. I figured that since I was evilly busy over the next week or so I wouldn't get the time to post, so this is an alternative. Expect some details soon-ish, folks!

Just a quick thought... can we not involve Reilly in the murder mystery story until he's been introduced to the other guys in the main story? I'm going on the assumption that the murder mystery takes place after the current story, but I've not yet written Reilly's first meeting with the team because they're all off getting drunk.

I merely wrote him in assuming that Icarus had heard something of him and, having heard what he heard of Reilly, wanted to avoid him at all costs (at least not without the rest of the group).

If you need me to edit it, I'd be happy to do so.

Don't worry about it. Just a minor thought. I'd rather write his first meeting before I go about writing any subsequent interactions, so I just won't have him participating in the murder mystery until he's been introduced properly. The one mention in your post really isn't a big deal.

Just try it. There's honestly no harm in trying, SpaMM. If you do something wrong, we'll correct you... but just do the best you can for now. It's not a huge deal. You're still learning, so we can forgive mistakes... for now.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. As it happens, I have some free time today, so I'll try and write something ASAP.

As it turns out, I've been really busy, with family business and stuff, so I'm gonna have to abstain from posting to the stories for a while. Also, I think I've run out of ideas for Oktoberfest (most of my previous experience with round-robin fiction involves stories with really structured plot, I'm not so good at character studies), though I've got a couple of ideas for the murder mystery.

Post when you're able, SpaMM. The holidays keep us all pretty busy.

Any other ideas for Oktoberfest? If not, it might be time for Chewy to start the thing, cuz I got nothin right now.

I've really got nothing either. I wanted to do something with Icky and Ozzy (but I'm waiting for Pro to kick that off) and something with Icky and Gaunt. Only problem: I'm not sure how to get Icky through Gaunt's 'shadowmaze'...

Ah... good point. I'd forgotten that.

CJ, I love the ferris wheel scene between Gaunt, Drake, and Lykopis. That was truly elegant.

Danny, enjoyed Victor's synopsis of his origin. As well as the 'Feldman' hint. I can't wait to see how this character turns out.

Grimm, nice open path with the crossbow-tent. Good move. Also, the "Adem!" line from Tommy was hilarity!

Now I can't wait to see Reilly meet Ozzy. Good show.

Pro, I take it you've lost interest in having Ozzy meet Icky?

Pro, I loved the Ozzy and Adem mugging post.

Chewy: Uhhh...refresh me. Did I have anything specific I wanted to do? Because, if so, I've totally forgotten it. Fuck. I hate when I do this........................................all the time. If nothing else, I would love to take a stab at Icky/Ozzy. I don't have anything specific in mind, currently. But, a scene like that should write itself.

Danny: Thanks. It was just an off-the-top-of-my-head, writing-for-writing's-sake kind of thing. Glad you like. Speaking of like, that last Victor/Ian post was great. I think I see a nice relationship brewing between Vic and Oz. A nice, dangerous relationship....

As for Oktoberfest, I could write more if we keep it open. But, I have nothing super-specific I want to do. An Ozzy/Icky post. Hell, maybe I'll just do a number of Ozzy/Insert Character posts. That might be fun. Short, quick, and to the point? We'll see....

Actually, I'm starting to get glimmerings of an Ozzy/Adem/Penny/Tommy meeting idea. I just love the concept ofPenny meeting the real Adem and deciding that he's not Adem because she's spent that last hour or so with the real Adem.

Apologies to Icarus if I punked him out too hard....

I'll write a post when I've got time, which should be quite shortly.

Understand that I love Icky. And, I wanted to show that Icky is the best at what he does. He's the Hawkeye of the group. So, in no way did I mean for that post to undermine him in any way. Just setting the stage for his and Baxter's relationship....

Oh, I know. In fact, I trust you to handle him with respect as you know how the 'fine line' works, as you're doing the same thing with Ozzy. I have similar concerns with Icarus' handling... but, in all honesty, most of Icarus' jokes just write themselves and I'm fine with everyone taking advantage of them. Still, he's the best at what he does. And I think your post brilliantly illustrated both sides of the 'Icarus' coin...
