Who he claims to be: Comic book reading baseball fan.
Who he is : Professor Vladimir Potemkin, great grandson of Prince Potemkin of the Imperial Russian Court of Czarina Catherine the Great, and inventor of the Potemkinatron, a device which can accurately count the hair follicles on the legs of small insects. Regretably Professor Potemkin revealed the secret mechanism of his device in a lecture to the International Society for the Study of Cockroaches in 1983, thereby losing his patent rights and depriving himself of an income stream from pesticide companies keen to develop exfoliating sparys for bugs.
