OK, we all know one of the most-well known slangs for guys masturbating is jacking off. Hence, "jack."

A famous nursery rhyme--yes, that has NOTHING to do with masturbation--is "Jack and Jill went up the hill..."

So, the pairing of "Jack and Jill" in general is kind of well known.

So I've heard that since "jack" is slang for guys doing it, "jill" became a slang for girls doing it.
