On the other hand, a New York school recently came under fire for a "breakfast with Santa" because someone said Santa was religious:

    The student fund-raiser was billed as "Breakfast with Santa" - but in the end St. Nicholas was only allowed to attend if Frosty the Snowman came along with him.

    Focusing the public school event entirely around the jolly old elf was deemed inappropriate after an upstate mom complained that Santa was too closely aligned with a religious holiday.

    Similar battles are being waged in other areas across the state and nation during this season of goodwill - leading some Christian traditionalists to insist that a "war on Christmas" has been declared.
