Depending on whether or not there's a gas main nearby, yeah, it could. Considering that they're in a residential area, I figure the chances of there being one close by are pretty good. Hell, the truck itself exploding would pretty much wipe out all of the characters around.
Setting the Dukes on fire is a good plan in theory, but there's also the chance on having a bunch of Dukes running around (and into you!) while still on fire. (GTA and Punisher game players? Anyone? Bueller?)
It may seem like I'm just being bitchy, but I'm just trying to get you guys to think about things when you're writing. Actions have consequences (as Doc and I have so often stated) and you need to consider the possible consequences of your actions.
This plan is ripe for backfiring right in the team's face in a lot of ways. Now if you guys are cool with it doing so, and want to deal with the ramifications of that, by all means, go ahead.
