Yes, but you were also sure the Falcons would beat the Eagles, so

Yeah, I was also right the Patriots would beat the Steelers. And the Pats did it on the road.
I'm sorry, I would love to see somebody wipe the postseason grin off Tom Brady's face, but I just don't see it happening.

Super Bowl XXXIX,Patriots vs. Eagles--No need for last-minute heroics from Adam Vinatieri this time;New England's offense will score early and often on Philadelphia while its defense eats Donovan McNabb up like popcorn.Suffice it to say Notre Dame made the right choice naming Charlie Weis their new head coach after the NFL season wraps up. Final Score:Patriots 45,Eagles 21
Projected Super Bowl MVP:Tedy Bruschi

No way to tell that at this time. Guy's never been a head coach and will have to recruit. Being able to call a good game doesn't make a guy a great head coach at college or pro level.

Justa ask Sam Wyche, Bruce Coslet, Dave Shula and a whole slew of other shitty coaches......those three just jumped into my head for some reason.

I will argue that Wyche was not a shitty coach. His Bengals made a Super Bowl and his Bengals were always competitive in the 1980s. Not a great head coach, but clearly not shitty.
Dave Shula was NEVER a good offensive coordinator. Jimmy Johnson fired him from his Cowboy staff after the 'Boys failed to make the playoffs in 1990.
IMHO, you can toss Brian Billick into the "great coordinator/not great coach" category. The Ravens don't win that Super Bowl without Marvin Lewis. And if Brian was any good, I would have to think the Ravens offense would be better than it is currently. Mike Sherman may get a nod, too, as a good coordinator who's not a great head coach.

seriously.....I agree with you about Billick.......I wish the Dolphins hired Marvin Lewis instead of staying with shitty wanstedt for so long. At least we got Saban now......things should be turning around.

I don't know if it's a good move to put Saban in charge of both coaching and personnel his first time as an NFL head coach.

Wyche was a broken leg and a non crackhead player away from winning the SuperBowl. He took a Tampa Bay team that at the time was seen as the worse franchise ever in the NFL (before the Bengals took that honor) and drafted and coached them into a highly viable team. Damn good coach and I'm sure if given the chance could be a great coach.

He has to be an improvement on Wannstedt;he certainly can't do any worse.

If I'm not mistaken, Wannstadt's Dolphins only posted 1 losing season under him. I'm no Wannie fan, but hey, he wasn't Dave Shula.
