Spacey as Luthor is an excellent choice, though, and I'll withold judgment on Brandon Routh until I see the movie.

Funny you mention that. Superman-V says that Byrne's up for the part.
And NOBODY is happy with it, much less any of the rest of the casting or the proposed storyline. The buzz on this movie is pretty much Catwoman-level.

That's a shame. I was actually looking forward to it once I heard Singer and the writers of "X2" were on board.

Really? I have a hard time believing that. Where's your proof on that?

I dont believe that. How about that? Catwoman level my ass. If I directed Superman it'd have better buzz than Catwoman. Nonsense.

Fuck the buzz, I have faith, something I never thought I would have for another Superman film.

It appears yesterday's post about Gabriel Byrne could be false. It was thought that Singer was keen to work with Gabriel again and cast him in Superman Returns but we now believe that is inaccurate. We do expect that some more casting announcements could be made soon. Will one of those be Shaun Ashmore? Ashmore has long been thought as a lock for Jimmy but he could be out of the running.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Lex Luthor incarnate. This is SO diabolical.
Seriously, I like this guy. He's got a great sense of humor and he knows how to work a bogus rumor to his advantage. He must be a riot to hang out with on the set. I can only imagine the insanity he'll engender on the Superman set....
