The reason they let that movie be made was so that the rights reverted back to Marvel. It was a call on both Marvel and the distributor to shelve it because it stunk to high heaven. Considering how much shit Hollywood puts out, the decision to shelve it instead of burying it in the direct-to-video shows that they would rather it never get out into the public no matter the cost.
