Cops don't give a fuck about "pety" theft. My friend's Mom was without a home for a while so he had to store his musical equiptment at another friend's house instead. Someone broke in and methodically stole pretty much everything. Guitars, amplifiers, his whole drum set, a mixer, a couple microphones... EVERYTHING. Thousands of dollars. The cops said since they didn't have any idea who took it, they were pretty much out of luck.
To make it worse, it was someone who goes to the same college as us. We found a flyer in the hall advertising Andrew's drumset but by the time Andrew got ahold of the guy, the set was already sold for $500.
