Sorry I'm so MIA. Just burned out, I guess. Got alot going on. Trying to coordinate my efforts at relocating to different state this year. I'll try and post whenever I can. Feel free to include my characters, or not. Your call.

Ha! Awesome post. I didn't write Ty cause I'm not sure how to use him yet. What's the difference (in attitude) between him and Turkish?

Psst, Euro... wrong thread, man.

Mxy : The diff between Ty and Turk is simply attitude, and appearance. Ty is more aggressive with his skills, and relies on his physical fighting prowess rather than his "extra" abilities. A 'down-to-earth' Turk, really. Also, he's got J'onn J'onzz's JLI demeanor, in that, he's always the straight-man. Never smiles. Never tells jokes. Never seems to relax or 'connect' with anyone. Hope that helps.

Okay, I know there are two other stories going. But, I sat down and wrote this in like, forty-minutes. It's just a fun what-if. And, it is for everyone to write in if they want. Let me make this perfectly clear. This is not MY story. It's there to be added to, or not. I really have no idea or plan.

I've set up the basic parameters, and set up some basic characters. They are not neccessarily the only characters on the ship, though. Create your own if you wish.

Yes, I stated that some of the old ones are dead. I'm hoping that, if you want, you can create new ones to write with. Or, maybe they aren't dead, but, are out there somewhere in the universe.

Anyway, it's just a fun little diddy to play with if you want. The idea that this bizarre grouping would be the ones searching for any survivors of the old team was just too good of an idea to pass up.

Only thing I ask: no Ozzy. If I bring him in, it will be in my own way.

But, then again, given the latest writing track of everyone, no one may add to it at all. I just thought it would be fun to get away from the current continuity strangling us, and play a bit.

And, I should point out that this trip of theirs might take awhile. They are, in essence, searching for a needle in a haystack. I'm of the mind that half the fun of this should be the journey itself. Jumping to different places, encountering different things. But, again, whatever you guys want to write.

I am apprecaiting, altough having the ship called like my character basically cut any chance to see him in the story.

Seriously, I am glad that your original "Lost" concept fianally see the light, even if slightly altered.

I am not really in the mood for this story, now, as my cosmic side is buys working out an idea with TTT; also I would introduce Hero (my goofy side) into Vanguard, but issue 19 doesn't advance at all.
In any case I will try to partecipate to this story, if something come to my mind.

Great post Ceej. Loved the idea of wolf-lykopis, and Drake was really well written.

I think Pro deserves a round of applause for this idea. It's marvellously inspiring.

And... done. Feel free to elaborate on the fight scene between Adem and Drake and the Mad Prophets. Kill 'em... let 'em live... whatever. Have fun.

Fantastic stuff, people! CJ, your knowledge of mythological aspects is, as usual, incredibly impressive. Love the new Lykopis! Chewy, loved 'The Mad Prophets'. Great imagery, especially the Pollack-esque remark. Hope you don't mind me finishing it off. As I didn't know if Drake Foxe has any special abilities (and, to be honest, I think I like him as some form of normal, future-ish Icarus...pilot and sullen hothead extraordinaire), and Adem isn't a physical fighter, I had to come up with a way to intro my personal character early.

Let me elaborate on the whole 'two-seater' fighter thing, and the like. See, the only idea that I have about this whole thing, is that it is difficult for them. The trip. Dealing with the unknown. Their tech is piecemeal, but stable. But, it's not like it's a Star Trek starship, or anything. They have to make do with what they've got. Doesn't mean they can't collect and add stuff as they go (makes sense). Just means they don't have really cool shuttle pods, or, transporters, or impressive weapon systems (although, Grimm PMed me last night about his idea of internal security measures....I'll let him show you when he's ready to write it).

They are out there, alone, and hoping they have enough intelligence, bravery, and determination to accomplish their mission, and survive, knowing this might take them a long, long time.

Anyway, I'm loving the imagination shown by you guys. Hopefully Mxy, Danny, and the rest will add some stuff if they come up with something.

Thank you Pro. I've actually been itching to make Lykopis a wolf for a while now. Apparently some Greek King Lycanos (sic?) fed human flesh to Zues, so the god then turned the king and his subjects into wolves. Something about the story just appealed to me.

This is actually really fun. And I like the whole idea of a motley ship with bits of everything in it. I'll see if I can work that into the next post...

This story is all about fun, Chewy. If you have an idea, and it's fun, post it. That's what it is all about. Any "standard" or outline that I want, I've already talked about (i.e. the low-tech, the difficulty of searching the unknown universe, the small band of characters, etc.). My main inspirations for this story have been the new Battlestar Galactica series, and the new Doctor Who series. And, that's what I'm playing with. So have at it. Have fun. That's the most important part.

As for introducing my character to write early, doesn't matter either way. That's what this story is all about. Adapting to what the person wrote previous to your post. No talkthread prep, no planning. Just writing for writing's sake.

And, btw, who is Drake Foxe's mother (Penny??)? I was a bit confused on that. But, then again, am I suppose to know?

I had assumed Penny, but I'll defer to SpaMM for the final word...

But, just so you know...The Caliburne is the recon/fighter ship...The Eurostar is the mother ship. You switched it for about two paragraphs....
