no. that's what cross-referencing is. you find another source with the same info, then if you still doubt it, you see if you can find another and another and another until you've found several sources with the same information. If you only find that piece of information one place, and can't find credible evidence to support it or disprove it, then you can have reason to believe it. I realize you're used to believing one source alone and never giving it any real thought, but that's hardly reasonable.
