Phillip K. Dick novels

I see those books haven't fallen on deaf eyes.

Posted. It's not much (Lord knows), but it's what made sense to me after reading what had already been written and established both in the story and in this thread by Pro. This could be an interesting development for Icky... who knows? Might be fun...

P.S. ~ Pro, I think Ozzy's got more leadership potential than Icky...

Ah,,,,someone is taking his toys and going home? Too bad. It would have been fun to fuck with Gaunt...

as I said months ago, Gaunt has pretty much been filed under the "failed experiment" category. I was trying for a different notion, something that would allow for real creative notions, but people largely just kept trying to tack the same old cliches onto the character.

so yeah. Gaunt is retired.

as far as "what Gaunt said" in the post: take it however you like. Paragon is extremely resourceful. but he's not foolproof. and though it's hinted that Gaunt spoke with him, nowhere did Paragon actually appear or make any statements.

for now, I leave you with that.

The La Perdita team...are they gone? What's happened? I stated that 11 people had vanished over a year ago, with six being the crew I spotlighted.

I am in no way done with any of my characters. I have just been either busy with other things (work, getting ready for grad school) or suffered from my own writer's block. I have a feeling once I set all that aside and just sit down and WRITE, it'll start flowing like old times. That's why I haven't abandoned my solo story - my future in this group and my character's future in this continuity are riding on Identify.

go.

Chewy, that's some damn good stuff, man! Seriously. I really dig the words you put in Ozzy's mouth, as well as how you are evolving Icarus...even in the slightest of ways. PLEASE keep it up...

Phil, if you or anyone else want to do your old characters with your old stuff, that's cool. But, you'll have to do it in a seperate thread, or something. This story...this new take...is about change and a new perspective. I'm simply against going back to any of the characters the way they were, or the stories/continuity left behind. If you or Euro want to "tie up" old stories, go right ahead. Just create a seperate story in this forum for it.

Now, if you want to really change Smith, or, create something utterly different, go right ahead and join in.

And guys? Let's keep the mood of the characters in perspective. Let's make sure that we remember (much like Chewy did with Icky) that this change has been abrupt and brutal. As far as their memories are concerned, it's only been a few hours since they were in Spain. Then BAM! Here they are...a year has seemingly passed...Drake and Foxe, both dead...and for the moment, they're simply trying to find their bearings, crashing at one of Montag's European castles. Shock and inner reflection are the name of the game at the moment...

Damn, you must have been shadowing me Grimm. I just completed transferring the posts over into the new thread, and all of a sudden everything was pinned, locked and tidy.

Perfect!

Shall we do this, as well?
