We've had a few new posters here, and it'd be good to know who you all are, where you are from, and what you read.

Hi I'm Dave. I'm from Western Australia. I've been reading comics since the early 80s since my dad brought home for me a shitty coverless Hulk comic and a beat up All-Star Comic with the JSA. I'm into Vertigo stuff, some Wildstorm, and a little bit of Marvel. Favourite writers include Carey, Azzarello, Ellis, and Millar.

Hi, I'm Jeff. I'm from OKC. I've been reading comics since the whole Death of Superman deal ('92?). I'm into DC and Vertigo, Udon(Darkstalkers, Street Fighter) and sometimes Marvel(very rarely though). Favorite comics for me are the aforementioned Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Superman (even when its bad), Batman (same), Lucifer (Love it!). I've got too many to list so I'll stop there.

Hi, Im Dave too. I read cheesy superhero comics written by Johns, Millar, Kirkman, Cooke, and Brubaker. That's about it except for the old standards..Moore, Morrison, etc...

Although I do enjoy the occassional Manga, Sakai, Mignola, and Bendis book.

And I greatly enjoy Age of Bronze..which is returning in May or June.

Hi I'm Brian. I'm from Eugene Oregon. I've been reading comics since the early 90's. I used to only read Spider-Man comics but now I read both Marvel and DC. brian Michael Bendis is god. I am an Ultimate Marvel whore and I also like Batman. I'm currently poor so the only comics I've read in the last couple months are the TPB's I get at the library.

My favorites are in order....Batman....Superman (not lately).....Green Lantern (all of them)........Robin (currently one of my favorites except for Scott's art)....Superman/Batman (my favorite)....Nightwing (not lately)...JLA(also not lately)...Spiderman.....X-Men......Hulk....Iron Man...Wonder Woman on occasion and GI Joe but that is hit or miss......


really the only comics I have really enjoyed lately are all the Green Lantern stories and most of the Batman stories....I liked War Games.....I liked Identity Crisis except for the anti climatic ending.


I started reading young....maybe 6 or 7 my mom used to by them for me. I stopped reading for a long time and started again in College .....my best friend in my fraternity got me back into it.

Currently loving Daredevil, Samurai Executioner, IDW's horror line, Flash, Sin City (again), and too much other stuff to mention.

Hi, I'm.......Feh. I'm Charlie. I've been into comics since 92-93 when I picked up my first Batman comic. My taste has, of course, evolved since then whilst still loving the original characters that got me started (Batman, Wonder Woman). Over time, I got to like pretty much everything Vertigo, while slowly descending in interest from DC Superhero comics. After the burning out of my original favorite writers, very few new (who can't really be called "new") ones took their place: Vaugn, Kesel, Moore, Morrison, Jiminez, and Byrne.

I've been reading comics for as long as I can remember, though I've been consistent with it since the Death of Superman. I love Superman and superhero comics. I'm a big fan of just about every character in the DCU. I'm currently enjoying Superman/Batman, Green Lantern: Rebirth, JLA, and Superman (to a lesser extent). I've had to cut back on what I collect because of money, otherwise I'd be collecting other titles like Teen Titans and Flash. Other than that there's the usual comic strips I enjoy. Those include Get Fuzzy, Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield, Peanuts, and then some.

I've been reading comcis since the late eighties when I started to read British reprints of Superman (Byrne era) and Batman (Stalin, Aparo, Grant, Breyfogle).

My current favourites are Gotham Central, Y the last man, Hellblazer, JSA.

I read mostly DC, with a couple of Ultimate titles and some Brit reprints making up my Marvel collection.

My favourite run on a comic ever is the Grant/Breyfogle Bat stuff. Particular their Detective Comics stuff.

Matt. London, England. Only been reading comics for a few years after i watched the cartoons and sampled Morrisons JLA. Im pretty much a mainstream sucker with all the Ultimate titles, Daredevil and a few of DC's best, but like others I find myself a little bored with the usual super-hero crap and go for Indies and Manga more and more. Only reason I dont collect shit like Lucifer, 100 Bullets and the other decent Indies is because im an impatient bastard who doesnt like waiting every month for a piece of the story. I'll pick those buggars up once their series is finished and read them all over the space of a week or so

Favourites are the obvious choices of Moore, Morrison, Waid, Bendis etc....

Hi, I'm Brad. I started collecting comics a few years ago, when DC put out a whole bunch of trades, including NML. I picked up quite a Batman collection thanks to that. Batman and Spider-Man are my favorite superheroes. I don't actually collect too many comics because, thankfully, I can read a whole bunch from my cousin and my best friend. I do collect Birds of Prey, which is the first series I started collecting monthly, after my friend found the first thirty back issues for $30, minus #8. I still don't know how he did that. I also collected Catwoman Vol. 2 (I love the revamp) from issue #1, and I hope to be keeping this on my pull list. I have been picking up Peter David's Fallen Angel, but that might not make it past #20, and that would be a real shame. The new Manhunter is interesting too. (What can I say? I like strong women in comics.) I now have a favorite writer at DC in Gail Simone, and I am really looking forward to her upcoming run on Action Comics with John Byrne.

My name is Devin. I started reading comics when I was five, and my mother got me a subscription to Spider-Man to help jumpstart my reading skills. I'm 32 now, and I haven't stopped collecting.

I like a bit of everything. But, having read so much, for so long, am easily turned off by the repetitive nature of some of the overly-spandex titles.

Currently, I am reading: Ultimates, Planetary, JLA: Classified, Daredevil, She-Hulk (hilarious), Ultimate FF, and, Flash.

The last great mini I read: DC New Frontier.

The worst mini I last read: Green Lantern: Redemption.

My favorite comic of all time: James Robinson's Starman.

Damn, Pro... I had no idea you were that old!

My name's Steve (or Stephen, if you prefer). I started reading comics at the barber shop where I used to get my haircut as a kid. I'd read Justice League Europe and a few Superman comics. A friend had a lot of the old Superpowers figures and we'd play with those at recess in elementary school. That was my first exposure.

I got into a Marvel phase in middle school and, by the time I was out of middle school, I thought I was completely through with comics, aside from the occasional cartoon series. Then, a friend in high school opened my eyes to Grant Morrison's JLA run. After that, I started taking his comic recommendations, reading Ellis' Authority and Planetary, Moore's Watchmen, and a few others.

Nowadays, I eat up just about anything written by Moore, Gaiman, Ellis, and Morrison. I'm currently picking up Planetary, JLA: Classified, and am anxiously anticipating Morrison's Seven Soldiers project. My all-time favorite writer is Alan Moore, all-time favorite series is Sandman, and my all-time favorite story is Watchmen.

My name's Ashley and I'm 25/f/tx and I teach Math/English/Chemistry and Nutrition on Friday's to 6-12th graders and tutor math in the afternoon/evenings. I got into Batman comics when I was 17 and kinda stayed with it ever since (as much as financially possible anyways!).
