As far as cheap American beer goes, real Budweiser isn't bad. It is at least drinkable.

So, I thought to myself, the select will probably actually taste like imported beer.

WRONG--This stuff was worse, like Genny Cream Ale or National Bohemian left out in the sun to get warm.

PS--There are plenty of excellent American beers, mostly microbreweries.

Some of my favorites are the Ommegang line from Cooperstown, NY, the Smuttynose from New Hampshire and certain types of "Flying Dog" from Colorado.
