Rob, this is neither the time nor the place for serious discussion. I'm dissapointed in you.
I agree that it's sad that it's always brought up...but I also think it's sad that so few black actors/actresses have won Oscars.

Swank Fox Freeman (I felt confident that Alda's moment was getting the nom) Blanchett (she was great as Kate Hepburn) THE INCREDIBLES for Best Animated
Those were my picks as well.
I like Cate Blanchett a lot, and she did a superb job with what she was given, but the Hepburn character in The Aviator was a complete and utter joke. It was as if instead of actually trying to portray the person the writer simply put in Hepburn's character from Philadelphia Story(or Bringing Up Baby, or any of her other well-to-do, socialite characters).
By pretty much all accounts(friends, family, biographers), Hepburn hated the press, and was very uncomfortable with the attention they paid her. She was a tomboy, thanks to having only male siblings, and she thought the sugarcoated, glamour image Hollywood projected was bullshit(which it is).
She was not the jealous, attention-starved flirt The Aviator portrayed her as(and I sincerely her leaving Hughes had anything to do with his becoming more famous than her, which is pretty much what the movie implied). She was also not the type to act differently around different people(as implied in the scene where Howard meets her family). She was quite famous for being straightforward, and brutally honest.

I was sure he was drunk when he was presenting with Barbra Streisand(who called him "Bernie", his character from Meet the Fockers, for some reason).

Certainly wouldn't be the first time Streisand was accused of bickering with co-stars.
I remember a few years ago that her neighbors in L.A(or where-ever her main house in California is) tried to have her evicted from the community. I don't remember why. Probably because she's annoying bitch.
