It takes place between seasons 2 & 3, so you should download and watch season 2 first. And season 3 has my favorite Starscream moment ever.
So apparently despite being very very dead, I get to see more Starscream? Man, this is like the comic books. No one really dies. I just peeked at the third season and there's a "Return of Optimus Prime".
