While you're shining NotWedge's shoes and making him breakfast, could you be a goose and grab me a tasty beverage? Orange juice or chocolate milk would be heavenly.

Comic-Con 2006: Transformers: The Movie Art + Info!
Check out the first official pics of the "transforming" box art, as well as some presentation specs and a description of the DVD extras.
by Todd Gilchrist July 20, 2006 - On November 7, 2006, Sony BMG Home Entertainment will release Transformers: The Movie on DVD in a 20th Anniversary Edition set. (Check out our original news item about this release by clicking here.) During this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, Sony BMG will follow up their previous announcement with a description of the bonus materials and a look at the transforming box art for the release. No price information is available yet for the DVD.
The forthcoming 20th Anniversary Edition of Transformers: The Movie has been completely remastered and color-corrected for this release, and will feature three different versions of the film:
16x9 Widescreen presentation, which has not been seen anywhere since the movie was released in theaters 20 years ago
Autobot Matrix of Knowledge presentation, described in the press release as a special version that will "feature trivia and fun facts about the movie itself, the Transformers brand, and the pop culture references in which Transformers has been spoofed/tributed. Approximately 100 fun facts will show up on screen throughout the movie. Many of the factoids were provided by fans through a special DVD site created by Sony BMG to solicit input -- marking the first time that the fan base has ever been asked to participate in the creation of a Transformers home entertainment release."
Full screen presentation
In addition to the multiple viewing options generated for this new set, Sony BMG paired with Paramount Pictures to provide a behind-the-scenes sneak peak at next summer's live-action update of Transformers, directed by Michael Bay. According to the press release, "the special feature segment on the DVD will include comments from Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg who share their vision and passion for Transformers."
While a full list of the bonus materials is not yet available, Sony BMG offered this information about what other goodies will be included in the two-disc set:
"Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD will take viewers even more inside this cult favorite than ever before through all-new interviews and first-time-ever commentary tracks. Exclusive new interviews with director Nelson Shin, story consultant Flint Dille and Sue Blu, the voice of fan-favorite Arcee, are included in this fantastic new special edition DVD."
"To further commemorate the 20th anniversary of the film, Sony BMG is providing fans with some extra-celebratory content that lets them track back to the true origins of the Transformers. After careful consideration and preparation, Sony BMG has scoured the archives for the best Transformers-related footage available, and the DVD will include the original commercials for the toy line and movie -- allowing viewers to see how and where the phenomenon began.
"Beyond the actual DVD content, Sony BMG Home Entertainment is expanding the DVD's collectibility to the packaging itself. The company has commissioned fan-favorite artist Don Figueroa to create the imagery for a special "transforming" cover. Through his much-heralded work with Transformers, Don's art brings to life the characters so many have grown to love. With Optimus Prime appropriately situated in a position of prominence on the cover, the Autobot leader is joined by Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, Blaster and more of the most popular Transformers characters on the first image of the special "transforming" cover.
Check out the artwork for the forthcoming Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary Edition DVD set below:
Sont BMG's description of the film and its illustrious cast:
"Transformers: The Movie features the voice of Orson Welles in his final role, as well as stars Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Casey Kasem, Robert Stack, John Moschitta, Peter Cullen, and Frank Welker. The DVD also features a winning soundtrack featuring the iconic theme "The Transformers" performed by Lion, and the popular "The Touch," performed by Stan Bush." [Editor's Note: No word yet whether Dirk Diggler's iconic interpretation from Boogie Nights will be included on the disc.]
"The movie, set in 2005, chronicles the efforts of the heroic Autobots to defend their home of Cybertron from the evil Decepticons and Unicron, a huge robotic creature that devours planets."
Stay tuned to IGN DVD for more news, images, interviews, features and reviews for this and other exciting new releases!
Is there going to be a widescreen version of this for crissake?

Okay, so I just finished the second season and I'm going to rewatch the movie (just to put things in order) and then watch the third season.
Really, what is up with Megatron? Every time there's a damn female robot, he sort of goes crazy. Like that Nightbird episode. Funny stuff. "He'll burn her out!" Damn, what the hell did Starscream mean by that statement?
And I just watch the episode with Optimus Prime's girlfried. "Female Autobots? I thought they were extinct...bring them here now!" The only logical explanation is that Megatron (like a prison inmate) gets tired of raping his number two man (why else keep Starscream around) and jumps at the opportunity of being with a female.
Also, drunk Decepticons are very funny to watch. So that's why they want so much Energon. Hostin' an intergalactic kegger.

Oh, it's serious, it's DAMN serious! Woooooo!
I think you didn't pay attention to the tralier. It said that Mars was the first place we made contact with them, not where they are from.
They may not even use Mars for the movie. Maybe they just wanted to expliot the whole Beagle Mars trip thingie.

It takes place between seasons 2 & 3, so you should download and watch season 2 first. And season 3 has my favorite Starscream moment ever.
I just watched the episode where his ghost came back...is that your favorite moment?
Oh, and I like Grimlock now. He's so cute!

I think it was an early test shot just to see how everything would look together. It was probably to see how big the Transformers should be and how they would fit into the "real world".

Actually, I think I've seen that pic before. I'd never swear to it, but I just got slapped with déjà vu. If I have seen it, it's a few years old and not related to the movie.
In an interview I was watching yesterday, the producer said that the robots won't be fully CGI rendered until February. I'm assuming, with what I know about CGI animation, that means all they have now are skeletons and stiff models with very basic backgrounds.
He also confirmed that Peter Cullen, the original voice of Prime, will reprise the voice role in the 2007 Transformers movie.
And the movie's Optimus Prime is a semi who transforms into a robot standing over two stories tall.

I ran over to IMDB after they announced the Peter Cullen casting to see if I'd recognize him anywhere else.
Why didn't anyone tell me he's the voice of Eeyore? I knew there was a reason I liked this guy!
(BTW Rex -- Frank Welker was in KOTOR. I thought you'd find that amusing.)

while thats true for the whole movie, stills and individual shots (or small scenes) could be rendered out of sequence to produce a finished quality shot.
but, all that said, that picture better not be real, cuz the cgi is poor and, as said, none of the people seem to care about prime, at all.
boring movie.
