IGN gives the DVD re-release of the animated movie a perfect ten.

I will be buying this next week.

Mind you, the real problem with the movie seems to be its radically inconsistent animation quality, which unfortunately highlights the differences between the fastidious Japanese companies that produced key frame images and the second-rate folks who were tasked with filling in the rest of the action.

Can someone more knowledgable in animation explain this one to me? I'm lost. I know the animation quality was sub-Disney (actually, Disney wasn't too hot in the 80s either...Black Caldurn, anyone?), but was it a big deal?

A lot of action scenes are unclear. That's really the only problem I had with the show. The animation didn't make things clear or in an acceptible way. Like in Season 1 where Bumblebee backs down a trench to get himself stuck.

Personally, I'm just happy that they do actually talk about Mark Wahlberg performing "The Touch" in Boogie Nights.

When the heck was that? All I remember is "I'm a big star...I'm a big star..."

When he's recording his album in the studio, he's singing "You've got the touch...... You've got the power!"

It tends to put you immediately at a disadvantage and IMO is a sign of true weakness.
