James Bond films, for all their flaws, don't feel the need to re-establish the hero's origin
Simple fact is they have never established his origin,let alone re-established them. All we know was he was in the navy,nothing else!
Ditto for the Batman tv series in the 60s.
I think Batman is one of those characters who everyone knows & either knows his origin or doesnt care about it! They could easily make a film or film franchise without once putting his origin into the story!
