Agreed.

The 5 years later era was by far my favourite as the Giffen/Breibaum team were really pushing the envelope on the concept at the time. In an industry where the status quo is constantly maintained and protected, it was refreshing to see a book where shit actually happened, changed people and stayed that way.

After issue #3, (the Time Trapper/Mon-El confrontation)I was hooked. That last page was perhaps the ultimate in comics heroism that I have ever read.

It wrappped up nicely and appropriately heartbreaking with "The End". After that, it really turned to shit. But that was OK, at least the "silver age" Legion got to walk into the sunset.
