The layout could get a bit overdone. However, the story itself was so good, I rarely noticed. Of course, keep in mind that I bought the first 30 issues of the series at once, in the dollar bin at a comic shop. So, I didn't really absorb it bit-by-bit like a monthly, but, rather, as one big epic storyline.
