gay marriage would be alot more appealing to GOP moderates if the gays just allowed it to be called Civil Unions and still get all the benefits of marriage. Shiavo's case was just fucked because of the people involved. A few nutjobs in the religios right decided to make a big deal out of it not the entir GOP....besides, alot of good came out of that educating people to get living wills.
