You obviously know nothing of Bat history!
If you go back to the early issues,Bats used a gun & had a love interest so thats all part of Bat mythos.
Also it was revealed in current continuity that Bruce has trained himself with all weapons including guns,even if he never intends to use them!
Personally I think the fact he doesnt design his own gadgets makes perfect sense.
Batman has always been too perfect,being as good as he is at just about everything.
We have seen him train as a martial artist,we have seen him train as a gymnast,we have seen him train as a detective but there has never been an explanation as to how he became a genius regarding his inventions.
When the fuck did he find the time to learn all that shit?
