You tried to reason with me using current continuity, plus we're getting all gargled here; first it's James Bond, then it's continuity. The inter-relation here is that he's not pulling his source so much from current or even past continuity so much as he is from sources that aren't actually Batman related.

No I didnt!
I said if you go back to the early Batman!
I then said also in current continuity......
Please read peoples posts fully before coming up with your stupid answers!
And as for gargled........surely you mean garbled cause I sure dont remember swooshing this around in my mouth making a funny noise, you the one who has confused things!
You made reference to Bruce using a gun,& I said thats always been part of Bat mythos, both golden age & current age!
The James Bond reference you keep quoting is just that,a quote, nothing more!
Once you watch the film, you will probably wonder what the fuck all the James Bond talk was about!
If they borrow one idea from Bond (the Q type character) will that make the whole thing a James Bond copy?
Also, all superhero films use outside influences because its a movie, not a comic book,so some changes have to be made, and some changes happen because the film makers think they have to be made!
Not everyone who watches a superhero film reads comics.
Only the true anal retentive comic book fans get pissed off about petty shit.
It would be understandable if it was major stuff like the whole Catwoman movie,or the fact that Spiderman keeps showing everyone his secret identity (a very key part of his comics was that he never even showed other heroes who he was),but to get pissed off about Batman not inventing shit,is not key to the character,so would be a pretty piss poor reason to prejudge a film!
