I do think that the damage done to the rectum could demonstrate that anal sex isn't the intended perpoys of the rectum by the natural order, clearly from a purely darwinian position it could be defined as futile at best. The problem with hinging your argument so hevily on this one aspect is the simple fact that people do things every day that go against the natural order. Even God fearing hetero-sexual couples do things that are futile according to the natuaral order. If it could be demonstrated that anal sex could be harmfull to others not involved you would have an argument. This is why I personally think that anti-sodomy laws are a trivial over-extention of government.
