Well, this is gonna ruin your high...

Ragtag Heroes is based (loosely) on the characters and ideas in Justice League Reality, a round-robin storytelling effort that takes place in this forum. All of the essential characters (and there are many more to introduce) are derived from JLR stories. 73, for example, is my version of Midnight Spectre/(young)Nightwing. Codek is Fused, DiAngelo is Cowgirl Jack, and so forth and so on. Most of the characters who have had anything to do with the JLR will show up in this story, remixed in some fashion.

Why am I telling you this? I dunno. Wait, I remember. The JLR is a team story and so, essentially, is Ragtag Heroes. In its guts and bones, it's the story of a group of heroes on a shared quest.

However, it's not the JLR (that is the point, after all), and please believe me, this won't follow the same pattern as your average JLA/JSA/X-Men comic. It's not comedy, it's not spandex, it's not segmented into six-issue story arcs. And it's not all adventure. It has espionage, for sure, but that's just a small part of what will be a loooooong undertaking. Don't try to place it neatly in a genre based on Chapter 1. I think you'll find that Chapter 2 is very different, and Chapter 4 throws everything before it clear out the window.

Well, not really. Everything, even Tractor-Trailer Bob, has a reason. You'll see it all again.
