Listen, I think everyone is putting far too much thought into this than I expected. I was making a bit more of a half joke, than anything.

Wednesday, as far as threads getting dumped into Random Chat, I'm not bitching. Just pointing it out. Random Chat may be the older bitch-sister to O/T, but, I would like to think it could become something more defined than that. I just felt that the natural reaction to moving things out of DT was to immediately drop it into RCh. Which is then my job to move it on the O/T. I'm not upset about it. I just wanted to voice my thoughts on how I percieve it, and see if we can find a defining line from how to judge.

I'm a detecting a bit of the patented 'G-Man-holier-than-thou-on-the-cross' attitude. I'd rather not think that was the case, as you are not the one to be pointing fingers when it comes to calling something "your" forum, and all that. Hello? Kettle? But, I'll just accept that I am misreading the intent, and move on.

Your examples are point-worthy, except that I have chosen to leave them there, as either alot of people were talking in them, and I didn't see any harm (as that is what I consider "chatting"), and/or, I had yet to even open them to see what it was about (in the case of Nowhereman's 'cookie' thread).

If something is complete nonsense (and certainly don't play like you don't know the difference) then it's obvious it goes here, in the O/T. If there is an actual discussion that doesn't fall within the guidelines of your strictly mandated FOX News forum, then, I expect you to drop it into Random Chat (which I plan to petition be called 'CNN Forum' for equal measure).

In the end, my entire, tiny, simple point was this: I know that both mods in the Poli-News Forum are intelligent and discerning. I also know that if they choose to move a thread, then, that means they've read it and have determined it doesn't fall within the criteria of what they believe their forum should be. Therefore, if it IS complete nonsense, and/or, is simple mental masturbation for the few posters that love attention, then, please, drop it into O/T. If you feel it is a legitimate discussion, but, doesn't meet your standards of deep thinking, then, by all means, drop it into Random Chat.

It's really as simple as that...
