Assategue Island, in Maryland. It's a non commercial beach, with only one building to buy refreshments, use a shower and a bathroom.
It's quiet and much less crowded than most beaches I have been to.
Wild ponies roam freely there.
I love to walk up and down the length of the beach, or just sit and watch the waves hit the beach, and listen to the sound of it. It's extremely relaxing.
