Did anyone not see the Ras revelation coming a mile off?

i actually assumed it months ago!

back when they were just releasing wee bits of information here and there, and started dropping photos on the official site, i credited liam as ra's without even knowing otherwise. he just looked so damn perfect for the part.

but, with a mighty 'of course', i was wrong at the time and shunned, deeper, into rkmbs society with a series of insulting responses.

however, while watching the movie, i simply could not shake how perfectly cast the part was for him ... he just looked and acted the part amazingly.

then, hearing all the third person talk and seeing how the true ra's acted vs how the fake ra's acted... all just fit together so poifectly.

really happy it ended up cast that way.

I thought it was a really good film but was just too dark.
Dark is exactly what I expect from Batman, but I also expect to be able to see more of the action! Really enjoyed the movie but think a sequel should be able to kick its arse easily.

batman begins was my favorite batman movie. it was also my favorite comic book movie. ...and... it was really one of my favorite movies of all time. easily.

but general public wise?

financially, i think the movie "suffered" (poor 150 mil and 3 weeks, tsk tsk) because of ... well... its lack of comic bookiness. ironic, considering most comic book fans would deem this the superior film.

however, the major public wants a big ole silly villain, too. a joker. a catwoman. lighter moments. gitchier scenes.

spider-man was able to take advantage of that, just as the 70s superman and 80s batman.

i think future batman movies will maintain the tone of "begins" but allow for much more light hearted "superheroism," as seen in those other films.
