Over on a Word Association thread (at another board I frequent), I followed the word "lingerie" with "waste" . . . which in turn resulted in "BLASPHEMY!!!!"
Now, someone asked my why I thought lingerie was a waste . . . and I explained:
quote:
Unless I know it'll actually be seen (by the man it's supposed to be worn for) and appreciated and not end up on the floor after five mintues . . . it's a waste of my (and probably his) hard earned money.
Thus . . . I don't . . . and won't . . . buy lingerie other than bras & panties.
To this, I was told that (I'm paraphrasing) I was in total control over these matters. This is not always the case. My comments in return were this:
quote:
1. The control is not always mine. Sometimes the guy does "fall asleep" or "pass out." It does happen.
2. I cannot name one time when the lingerie I have worn, was appreciated (so I knew it). The "feeling of the lingerie" doesn't count as "appreciation" in my book. Compliments would be nice, but again, never known what that's like, so "no lingerie."
3. You're right, it's usually the bed somewhere or a chair or something else.
But seriously . . . I've never seen much "good" come from buying more expensive lingerie . . . besides . . . lace is itchy.
So, what I want to know is this:
