You take one of those numbers in the proxy list and enter that number in your browser's config under proxy server. This masks your IP address so they can't trace the source. All they get is the IP of the Proxy server and not your real one.

Getting rid of the cookies is easy just delete your cookies and it's gone. Or go into your cookies foler and find the one iwth thier web address and just delete that ONE.
