So it all starts out innocently enough: getting over to my grandmothers house where relatives await eagerly to see me: and I get, "oh my gosh you look so much better now than you did six months ago. Take your coat off and show us what you look like." Yeah, thats really nice to hear from an eighty year old uncle ;p
Weirdness aside it turned out semi-fun: everyone swapped stories over lunch about memories (yeah my familys weird..we have thanksgiving at lunch ;p). They were even intrigued by the whole fighting/fire/harassment stories I had to share.
I even found out some interesting stuff: ever wonder why some relationships just dont work out? I had this thing for one of my cousin's friends named Glynn back in high school. He was into music, really handsome, great guy (we met at a ski resort in Colorado where his church was vacationing).
Anyway, found out tonight his mom's psycho: she put his name on eharmony.com (without him knowing) and found this girl she liked, drove eleven hours to Glynn's doorstep (from Oklahoma to Tyler, Texas) with this girl (Glynn had no idea his mom or this girl were coming). So they meet up, and three months later are now "engaged."
IT GETS BETTER! So he meets this girl once, and then she ends up LIVING WITH HIS MOTHER for three weeks. Talk about awkward: me dating a guy and him living with my parents for three weeks and us not even being offically "together" yet?!? Totally freakin' bizarre.......Glad she's not going to be my mother-in-law....
In the middle of this story, Tin calls me and it seems my old group of friends is hooking up tomorrow at his house to go out and celebrate being in the "real world" or whatever now (it's gonna be a lot more fun that I originally thought!).
So yeah.......Thanksgiving was fun although now I'm really sleepy *no more late night rkmb truth or dare sessions for me ;P*. Here's hoping ya'lls Tday was as fun and as enlightening as mine!
