The trouble with designing new buildings here is that just about everyone is an architecture critic. We justify it because of the impact Frank Lloyd Wright had on this city. It's quite a reputation to live up to. You'd have to be just about as good as Frank to propose a new building downtown without someone poking fun at the design.
