with sega fast sailing towards the great beyond .. it's about that time again to consider if yall would wanna get any of these new systems. gameboy advance is fast approaching, and now that sony can stock the shelves w/ the ps2, the question again is which one to get(or to get any at all) with the xbox/sega partnership, the impending release of great ps2 games like metal gear solid 2, and the gamecube still being a mystery..... which one would u go for??
personally... i'd like to see what the xbox has to offer now that they got sega on thier side.... but i'm gonna wait till nintendo ships thiers first. sony is also getting some sega produced games in thier stable, but that's about it..... and the only thing i'm looking forward to from them is MGS2.... the only use i have for it now is a dvd player in my room.....
but i guess i'm gonna end up with a gamecube... nintendo can always pull out a winner.... (i hope that they can also get sega games)

ps2 is a joke. dreamcast was (sadly) a failure. xbox is microsoft... who knows EVERYthing about marketing and advertising... but NOTHING about games.

nintendo is really the only product that will truly kick ass. they've always had the games and designers to make theirs the best, now they have a superior console, as well. hands down, ngc wins.

gba is a seperate deal, and, im torn on whether or not ill get it. i want it, but... dunno if ill get as much use out of it as id like. and, with my soon-to-be slim budget... well... we'll just have to wait n'see.

as far as sega partnering with others... truth is, they'll partner with no one. they'll produce games that will be picked up on all systems. as of now, they're supposedly linked with xbox, but only because xbox is releasing all their info, hoping to "hype" sales, like sony did/does. believe you me, they're also designing for nintendo. whether or not those games will be made final, i have no idea. but, as it stands now, they have as many plans for gc as they do for other systems (computer dork cuzin thatchya met just found out).

regardless.. i'm cube all the way.... i needs some stability in my console life. i think the last stable console that i'ved owned that never had any drama was the SNES.... boy that was a great piece of machinery

anyway, i agree. cube is the way t'go. im WAY too anxious for the thing. when is that e3 festival... thing... or whatever the next "unveiling computer party" ... thing...?

E3 is this summer in vegas i think..... or maybe it's chicago...
but hey... i think u should get the GBA.... it's under a hundred beand and u could get that from the parents.... it's backwards compatible to the GB color... so now u can get the BTAS game

as for the parents... you know'em as well as i do. there'll be no money givin.

(idn't e3 earlier than that? like... soon? or, mebbe its not e3 im thinkin of... there's some spring time video game event where, supposedly, ngc will finally be unveiled. a lotta details, games, new features, more than likely the sega announcements, as well as a possible, but not likely, square announcement).

i think it's e3.. cuz the only other thing that happens wa the winter ces in chicago... and it's been over now for like awhile and stuff

alls i know is that the games are getting stlae out there.... 'cept for the last batch of sega games that are filtering in by the summer.....

to be honest... i dont think i ever had more fun that with my super nes. which is why i think game boy advance is gonna rock.

games are seemingly becoming too dependant on great graphics and music cut scenes. ps2, for cryin out loud, is a frickin dvd player. when y'think about it, how dumb is that?

ps1 had these incredible cgi cut scenes... then you realized the game was jism. whoops! and, yeah, i loved zelda: orcana of time on n64, but... to be honest, it had little on the original nes and/or snes versions.

when there was less time spent on graphics and sounds, there was more time spent on gameplay and fun. i miss that.

Luckily, my job requires me to get ALL of the systems!!
But then I'm a goof and I import the foreign systems, too.

I am looking forward to the Game Boy Advance the most. I love 2D games. Plus a good number of the games will have those awesome Super-Deformed characters.

Unfortunately, I'm over-obsessed with Dance Dance Revolution. Even though I have it for the home system (PS One) I'm trying to figure out how much it would cost for an arcade unit (probably of 4th Mix Plus). And I want ParaParaParadise, too.

man... dance dance rev is hardcore!! i tried playing that in the arcade here in ny.... needless to say, i suck ass and have no rythm, but the ones that know how to play are like jumpin and groovin thier asses off.... it's craziness!!!!

what'n the sam hell kinda f'd up job REQUIRES you to get all these delicious video games, and where might a fine pale brother like myself get his hands on such a position?????
