1) What is your full name?
Brian Scott Jonopulos
Jonopulos is a Greek name (which PJP likes to frequently point out). But I’m only quarter Greek. My grandfather on my dad’s side is the last full Greek in my family. He was also adopted by his step-father, where he got the name Jonopulos. His original last name was Panos. So my “real” last name is Panos.
2) Where do you currently reside?
Eugene Oregon, but I plan on leaving soon.
My dad was in the military when I was growing up, so I have lived in several states, including California from 77-79, Louisiana from 79-82, Ohio from 82-92, then we moved back to California for about seven years, then I moved here.
3) And what, may I ask, does a Rex do for a living? Is this a career or something to just make the bills?
I currently work at the University of Oregon as a custodian. In the past I’ve done everything from repair HP printers, to programming and shipping credit card terminals. I’ve mostly worked warehouse type jobs. Some people say those are bad jobs, but I’ve really enjoyed them. You don’t have to deal with the general public, and the pay is good.
4) Superman and Lex Luthor. Batman and The Joker. The Bushes and Saddam Hussein. PJP and Rex. What's the deal? You've seen his answer. I want to know your side of the story. Describe your relationship with your ultimate enemy/ally, and where it comes from?
The reason why PJP and I fought so much was because of out sexual tension. He’s so dreamy I can hardly contain myself whenever he is online. I want his Greek ass so badly.
Seriously though, PJP is one of my best online friends. He’s one of the few people that can cheer me up when I’m in a bad mood. He’s one of the reasons I come here everyday.
5) I believe your first answer. What are some of your hobbies, besides, you know, coming here? I know you are a reader. Talk about that, and what you do to pass the time...
I still really enjoy going to the movies. Sure, its ruined by ass holes sometimes, but when its not, it’s a really good experience. Living near a dollar theater is also a plus.
Like you mentioned, I enjoy reading. I actually stopped reading a couple years ago, but then my mom loaned me her copy of “The DaVinci Code”, and I got hooked again. I probably read for at least an hour every day.
I also play video games, read comic, and other various geek type stuff.
6) What is the one thing you hope to accomplish in your lifetime? For what reason?
I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I’ve always wanted to write a book that I will be remembered for. Its too bad I don’t have the motivation to do that.
7) Day-in-the-life, brother. So, I've heard your firsthand rants about Canada. What's that all about? Why do you detest Canada so much? Are there other countries that you hate as equally? Explain this to me.
America is the greatest country in the world. It’s the greatest because of several things, including free speech and capitalism. Canada is a socialist country. Because of that it is inferior to America. We are a country that was founded by visionary men who knew what was needed to create the greatest country ever. We are great because we are a country of dreamers and inventors. We are a country that supports Taking risks to better humanity. There are some things that are wrong with America, mainly the declining of our society, but I would still choose America over any other country.
Klinton also lives in Canada, making it even worse.
8) Fight Club time: If you could get into a fist-fight with anyone on these boards, who would it be?
Anyone? Probably some of the extremists that have changed the deep thoughts forum into the political flame war forum.
9) What is your biggest pet peeve, and why?
Asshats who start conversations with me in public places for no reason other than to hear their own voices. If you don’t have anything intelligent to say, shut the fuck up. If the first two words out of your mouth aren’t “excuse me”, I’m going to ignore you. If it doesn’t concern me, I don’t care.
10) Who is your idol/hero and why?
I’ve never really had a hero. I’ve had people who I’ve looked up to, but I wouldn’t call them my hero. Basically I look at specific qualities in people. Then I try to be like them in that way.
11) Who are some of the hottest females out there right now? Any males you prefer?
I’m kinda sick of all the famous women. Most are too stupid or liberal for me.
I do enjoy working at the U of O and seeing all the hot college aged women there. I’m basically at the point where if a woman acknowledges that I’m alive, I find her attractive.
12) And the stalking begins. Speaking of, what is the one thing you have done in your life that you are the most ashamed of? Why? Be honest.

I’m 28 years old and I still live at home. There’s not much that is more shameful than that.

Hey, where does the name "Rex" come from? Why did you choose it?
My favorite band is Toad The Wet Sprocket. They took their name from this:
Rex Stardust, lead electric triangle with Toad the Wet Sprocket has had to

I thought it would be clever to take another name from that and make it my “online name”. That’s where rexstardust came from. After a while I got sick of it and changed it to rex.

Batman Begins was more than a movie. It was an experience. Batman Begins is what happens when everything goes right. Everything from the directing, acting, plot, characters and effects were perfect. Batman Begins is the reason movie theaters were invented. It was also based on the Year one comic, which is probably the greatest Batman story ever.
15) Very good, I approve. What is religion to you, Rex? What does the term 'God' mean to you personally? Is there an afterlife? If so, how would you define it. Give me some detail.
Due to being raised in a couple different churches, I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what I believe. I still believe there is a god who created everything, but I think most of the bible is inaccurate. I’ve never read the entire bible, but there’s too much in it that contradicts itself. What I currently think is that the major religions have made up a lot of their own history to fit their own beliefs to further their own agendas. It would be nice if I could find a church that shared my beiliefs, but I’m not going to hold my breath for that.
16) Here is a paragraph for you to rant. Your choice of subject: People who answer their cell phones in movie theaters, or, the current U.S. military occupation in Iraq. Annnnnnnnnnd GO!
The tards who answer their cell phones is theaters are the scum of the earth. You’re not at home, you’re at a theater full of people who spent their hard earned money to watch a movie, not hear you talk on your phone. Any window licker that interrupts a movie should have to reimburse the tickets of everyone else in the theater.

Cowgirl Jack.
Why? Sneaky is cool, but I think CJ is one of the most fascinating women I know. I think she’s a great example of the girl next door. She’s smart, funny, beautiful, and someone I could talk to for hours. I consider her to be one of my closest online friends.
Besides, I would always choose a woman whose read Atlas Shrugged over someone who hasn’t.

I think there is. When we find them or they find us, it will be the most important moment in the history of the world. It’s the one thing that would completely change the way we look at everything.
I personally would love them to be like us, created by god or whoever at the same time. I would love to see what they have done. Are they more advanced than us? Less? It would all be very fascinating.
19) As one of the many cyber entities that currently plague the internet of the 21st Century, why do you insist on hounding the RKMBs? Despite being Robs sister, she is extremely cool. One of the few people more sarcastic than me.
Then there’s the regular chat room group. I’ve gotten to know most the people there better than in here.
There are also others who keep me coming back here for various reasons. Weather its to talk about TV shows, comics or simple some good old tard bashing.

I believe that the answer to life is the moments that make you happy. The other day I got home from a horrendous day at work. My nephews were over and they ran up and hugged me. That completely changed my attitude. Those moments are the answer to everything. It’s the things that make you happy.
