You know something? I don't care who the supposed traitor is. We all know it's someone working with or influenced by Loki. All I want from this series is big battles and carnage and great widescreen-style visuals of fight scenes. I realized yesterday, as I read the latest issue, that I just wanted Millar to shut up and get to the fight scenes. Blah blah blah...I'm a man outta time...I shoulda stayed in the ice...blah blah blah...woe is me...
I was praying for the Hulk to make an appearance and devour someone. I know that writers want their stories to have plot and intrigue and all that. I don't mind that. But for this series I want nothing but fight scenes. Then I can be happy as I avoid Madureira's shittiness in Vol. 3.

I like it. Not the part about them being breaking away and the title becoming less Governmental [is that even a word?], but the comradery between the Cap, IM and Thor has been severly lacking. I just read the latest issue and am in the Fury camp as well. What he was saying was expressing he was sad and disgusted over the murder of Hawkeye's family but he didn't show any of it. I thought it was just his tough guy exterior at first but then he immediately blamed and jumped on Cap then decided to get angry! It looks he was finding a scapegoat.

I could be wrong, but I just don't see Marvel making Ultimate Nick Fury a bad guy.
First off, they don't want to risk a whole "you made this longstanding heroic character into an African American and then turned him evil...racist" protest.
Second, Avi Arad would give his left nut to make an "Ultimate Nick Fury" movie starring Samuel L. Jackson and making the character evil severely diminishes the likelihood of that film happening.

I read it as Nick became angry at that point because he felt responsable. He's going on about how could they have not considered the Captain in hindsight & feels guilt. G-man's reasoning totally rules out Fury as the traitor. It just wouldn't happen these days unless there was another significant character in place like Fury to be the good guy.

Black widow or the mutants. Stark marrying her would also play into it. Let's face it cap isn't a traitor, unless he doesn't believe in the cause, but why wouldn't he just quit, and he wouldn't kill hawkeye. Widow knows hawkeye well and probably all of his weaknesses.

Im officially out of the Nick Fury camp. Not because of what G-Man said, but because he's still around in the imminent Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine. Only way it'd work out being him is if its very slow process. Fury telling Wolverine to hunt down and kill Banner/Hulk because he'll get the blame for the failed execution, does infit with the role of a desperate traitor, but then the Ultimates book would have to be delayed even more to wait for the Hulk vs Wolverine shit to have finished and for the shit to really hit the fan

well, Loki said there's a wolf in the fold, so while he's helping the traitor, I don't think he is. I'm leaning towards Jan or Hawkeye. He killed everyone involved in the assassination but his "killer". The killer made the camera's believe Captain America was responsible for the murders, so I think the "killer" was Loki himself. As to why Clint did it...hell if I know. We don't know anything about Ultimate Hawkeye except he was black ops.

Okay, while the cameras apparently does show who the murderer is, and that Fury does go after said person with a vengeance I just think it's TOO obvious.
I know, that sounds kinda conspiracy theory like, but it's just bothering me. Besides, there's there whole "I'm Loki, I can bend reality to my will" thing too.
But then again. The only one who's actually seen Loki is Thor, and he's apparently crazy. So that could just have been a figment of his imagination.
He would know there's a traitor in the fold, because someone would've had to have leaked that Banner was Hulk to the press. And as Thor said, he would never have done that himself, because he did not want to see Banner executed.
