Lucky for us down here--I was born in Miami. I didn't dislike Miami but I didn't like it either. I really like living in Pembroke Pines, though--it was only a Category 1 when it blew through. We were lucky enough to get out of it with minimal damage and a mass electric outage throughout the cities (twas annoying).
A friend has family in Mississippi and he's freaking out, last I heard. I hope everything works out for you all.
