Whomod, you are really becoming a parody of yourself, you know that?

Anytime ANYTHING goes wrong, you show up and tell us that Bush should have known it would happen and prevented it.

When the man ran for President, people like you told us he was an idiot. You sometimes still do. But whenever it suits you, you act as if the man has some sort of super psychic power to predict the future.

If, as you claim, this was so predictable, why didn't any of the nine governors who have been in office since 1960 (all but three of whom were Democrats, by the way), use state funds to correct what was, ultimately, a state issue? If, as you claim, this should have been forseen, way did the Louisana legislature, many of the members of which are democrats, forgo five years of federal highway funds to avoid raising the drinking age to 21? Weren't they throwing away money that, by your argument, could have been used for the very purposes you want?

You want to argue that more money should be spent on federal disaster preparedness? That's fine. But this was, for lack of better term, an act of God, not an act of President Bush.
