Very good to see thedoctor and Grimm are well. Excellent in fact.
Snarf, I am developing a theory that the governments generally are geared towards sovereign defence / adventurism, not the establishment of civic order underpinning that sovereignty. The US in Iraq, the lacklustre response to this crisis, the incompetant responses of Asian governments to the tsunami, famine in Zimbabwe and other AIDS in the sub-Sahara... Its easy to buy weapons, it seems, but its hard to save people. Governments need to get their priorities straight. Do we (as in the citizens of each country) all need a new submarine fleet upgrade, or do we need a corp of trained personnel to deal with shit like this?
Quote: the G-man said: I respectfully submit that anyone else who rioted would likely be people inclined to riot anyway. I would further respectfully submit that most people, who are victims of the looters, would be relieved.
Shooting looters in times of civil unrest is hardly a new, untested, theory, after all.
I fundamentally disagree. In this situation, I would happily loot to feed my family. It would be a nonsense not to do so.
