I like most of the guys you mentioned.
Palmer, Steve Smith (though I can't imgaine a wideout winning MVP for a season, but he's clearly the best thing going in the decidedly weak NFC), but instead of Edge, I'd probably nominate Peyton Manning from that Colts team. His performance against his old nemesis Patriots on MNF did him a world of good in the MVP race.
Tantalizingly enough, the Nov. 20 game in Cincinnati between the Colts and Bengals may provide sufficient separation between Manning and Palmer. Also, a lot hinges for Palmer on how the Bengals play in Pittsburgh later in the season.
