PW, I like all but one of those picks.
We have seen so far this year that QBs in their first playoff starts don't fare so well (Palmer notwithstanding, since he was in for all of two plays, one of which was the longest pass play in Bengal postseason history).

We'll see. Chicago's strength is it's defense. Of course, that's also Carolina's strength. The difference is, Chicago knows it can't score, while Carolina thinks it can, if that makes any sense.

My only reason going against Chicago is that Grossman still can't be much more than rusty. And this will be the biggest stage he's played on ever.
Chicago's D is legit, no doubt about it. But can they shut out the Carolina offense?
This has all the makings of a 6-3 or 10-7 game. I'm going with Carolina only because of their experience.
Maybe the Panthers should take a page out of the Steelers playbook and just crash into Grossman's knee.

they didnt get blasted by the final score but i watched that game and denver was just tougher. Yeah the pats were hurting but ive seen them hurt before and still come out and work teams. I just see denver IN denver getting rid of the pats this postseason

I'm also going with Pittsburgh and Seattle to move on to the Super Bowl. I like the Panthers' experience at this level, but they've suffered some injuries of significance. The Steelers seem on an incredible roll right now. They've been able to move on by knocking out opposing quarterbacks and overcoming bad refereeing. They seem to operate best when the pressure's all on the other team.
