The nice thing about it, is you get 12 eps all together, twice a year, with a few months off inbetween. It's a good break. It would be nice if another station ran something for fall and spring. National networks are stupid because of the way they run their programming. No one wants to see reruns, so it makes sense to run half the season without a break at a time. The benefit to this is that it's possible to rerun the entire half season right after it's shown, so if people missed it the first time, it's there the second time. Sure, some nights have to be two-hour specials, but it's a good way to attract viewers to a show.
