and your analogy doesn't hold. the news people don't help, they just feed off the stories like vultures. now, i'm all for the press. but please don't make sean penn out to be some kind of asshole for only helping x ammount of people when the newsmen aren't helping anyone.
How does my analogy not hold? A tow truck is a breakdown mans tool of the trade........the thing he does his job with! A camera is a reporters tool of trade.
The reporters are not trying to hide the fact they are doing a job of work,unlike Penn who was trying to hide the fact he was seeking free publicity,by leeching off people if dire straits & pretending to help them!
There are hundreds of people actually trying to help,police,fireman & the military.........how many of them brought their own camera man? None,because they are there to help,and by that I mean genuinly help,not help them fucking selves!
Do I think that Travolta was totally altruistic by his actions? No. But I do believe his actions were a case of wanting to do something good,and if he could get some good publicity,then he wasnt gonna complain! Penn on the other hand went out with the main intention of getting himself some publicity,and maybe helping out one or two people!
