different from games you have a personal affinity for (and spend the most cash on).
not just arcade games, but any game... whether you love it or not... you cant... stop...playing!

Love those games. Collapse being the hardest of the two.
You can find them at shockwave.com :)

Final Fantasy, and I'm talking the original. It was such a cool game to play. I'd never played an RPG game before then, and it got me hooked. To this day, I don't remember ever beating that game because I mostly just wandered around kickin' monster butt.

Street Fighter, it has helped me to almost really believe I could kick somebodies ass in real life. Though I must admit, I never leave Mom's basement. [ 07-20-2002, 05:08 PM: Message edited by: Jack, my Little Dick ]

tetris has to be one of, if not the most addictive game. i can't remember the creators name, but he said he had a mostly finished copy(didnt have the scoring yet, and don't think it had the speed up part either). but said he started playing, and almost couldn't stop.

thats also coming out on gamecube - remade.
as scary as the playstation games were, you gotta play RE for gamecube (and then, of course, all the other volumes).
with the graphics enchanced a trillion times, and the sound given movie-quality ... you'll be unable to believe you even liked the others.
believe me.

i think i remember hearing that re2 AND re0 for gamecube are both arriving in the states this halloween (season).
regardless, re(1) that is already out will be the most beautiful of any of them (as it received the most touch-up work).
dont get me wrong, the others will still be infinitely prettier (and prettier sounding) than the playstation versions... but do NOT pass up on buying RE now.
especially your being as big a "resident evil" fan as you are. get it as soon as possible.

No one has mentioned the PC game that young and old alike play constantly. Solitare. That's right. I said solitare. That and Freecell seem to put ppl in a trance for hours on end. Why else are there like a thousand different jewel cases in Wal-Mart and other software sellers. It's video crack for all generations.

1) Two Words: Gran Turismo (1, 2, or 3)
I can't get enough of the game.
2) Two more Words: Resident Evil
Played and beaten them all: RE2 is the best.
3) Metal Gear Solid: I beat this game so many times. Getting the bandana, chameleon suit, James Bond Tux....
Good times.....

Actraiser(the first one),Chrono Trigger,Illusion of Gaea & Zelda for SNES are THE most addictive games on that console for me.I've played them what seems like hundreds of times & I can't get enough of 'em.

By far, above and beyond the rest: 1.) Zork Series (1, 2, and 3) 2.) Quake Series (1, 2, and 3)
Many many nights with no sleep, then coming home and playing again. We're talking taking Caffeine pills to play more addiction. If I was older with Zork I probably would of done Crank.
